Welcome to the new CCCF Blog!

Good morning, Centre County!

I’m Erin Rowley, Program Assistant at the Centre County Community Foundation. (That’s me on the left.)

You may not realize it, but chances are good that if you live or work in Centre County, you’ve benefited from something the Foundation was involved in.

I’ll be using this blog to keep you updated about the activities of the Foundation and of the organizations and people that it benefits. I’ll also use it to provide general information about local and national philanthropic issues.

In the 30 years since it was founded, the Foundation has accumulated $22 million, and it currently has upwards of 300 funds that benefit the community in a variety of ways, from providing scholarships for promising students and supporting the arts, to preserving the environment and caring for animals, and much, much more.

Through supporting these funds the Foundation ensures that Centre County will continue to be the beautiful, safe, healthy, wonderful community in which we all love to live.

So bookmark this blog, and check out the links to the right of this page to follow us on Facebook and Twitter.

And keep in mind, as you read about the great things the Foundation is doing for this area, that they’re all made possible by you – the people who love Centre County. They’re a reflection of you and what you want this community to become.
