Vote now to ‘Make a SPLASH for kids in Bellefonte’

The purpose of the Pepsi Refresh Project is to award $20 million in grants to individuals, businesses and non-profits that promote a new idea that has a positive impact on their community, state, or the nation.

And, with your help, some of that money could be coming right here to Centre County.

The Robert Kepler Memorial Pool, in Bellefonte, has not been able to operate its children’s pool due to the need for costly upgrades. A grant from the Centre County Community Foundation enabled the YMCA to transform the drained kiddie pool into a children’s play area, filled with inflatable objects, sprinklers and slides. But that’s simply a temporary fix. That’s why the folks at Kepler Pool are hoping your votes make them the recipient of a $50,000 grant from the Pepsi Refresh Project.

They even recorded this video appeal, which shows how much fun can be had at Kepler Pool, and how much more fun could be had if the kiddie pool was upgraded:

Kepler Pool’s project is currently ranked #48 in the $50,000 category, so it’s important to vote and get them up higher! Voting is easy; you can do it once a day via the Pepsi Refresh Project website, you can find codes under the caps of specially marked Pepsi bottles or printed on the side of Pepsi multi-packs, and you can also text the code 108923 to Pepsi at 73774.

With so many ways to vote there’s no reason not to! There are about three weeks left until the votes will be totaled. Let’s get Bellefonte kids those upgrades so they can have just as much fun at Kepler Pool as the adults are having in that video!
