This week we’ve told you about some of the many Halloween events happening in Centre County. Now we’re going to spotlight one of those events a little closer. Our friends at Centre LifeLink EMS, the State College Spikes and B94.5 are hosting the first-ever Family Spookfest event this Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Centre LifeLink EMS headquarters at 125 Puddintwon Road in State College.
“We wanted to invite local families to see who Centre LifeLink is and where we are located, while celebrating the season and having fun,” said Lauren Wells, LifeLink’s Marketing, Development, and Relationship Manager.
Wells said Spookfest will have a carnival atmosphere with different games and crafts for kids and families to enjoy. There will be a pumpkin pitch game, tootsie-pop ghost craft, a spooky ambulance tour, Halloween movies on the projection screens, Ike the Spike from the Spikes, and the Morning Zoo from B94.5. And of course, it wouldn’t be Halloween without candy and prizes. Costumes are encouraged, but not required.
Spookfest is a great way to spend your time before the annual Halloween Parade, which starts at 6:30 p.m. in downtown State College. And with the food bank donation, you’ll feel good about giving something back to the community.
“We wanted to put together a fun community event that would give back in some way. With the holidays just around the corner, we knew that The State College Food Bank would be in need,” Wells said. “Hopefully this will contribute to the extra Holiday supplies they need.
“Although most people think of Centre LifeLink as just an ambulance service, we have more to offer to the community and hopefully events like this will show the community just that.”
