Tonight, at the State Theatre, 130 W. College Ave., in State College, an event called Pamper her Pink will contribute to breast cancer research and local support programs through the local chapter of the American Cancer Society and the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer. Home Reflections, 236 E Calder Way, in State College, the area’s largest Vera Bradley retailer, joined forces with the American Cancer Society to make this event possible.
The night will feature food, wine, give-a-ways, and a silent auction, and entertainment at the event will include a fashion show and performances by the Penn State Majorettes with 5-time World Champion Feature Twirler Matt Freeman, Penn State a cappella performance group “None Of The Above,” and Flute Cocktail, a group made up of members of the Nittany Valley, Altoona and Music at Penns Woods Symphony Orchestras.
The food and wine reception will begin at 6 p.m. and the entertainment will begin at 7:30.
There will also be a presentation by American Cancer Society Representative and Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer Ambassador Heidi Floyd. She will share her unique and inspiring story of battling breast cancer while pregnant. Watch the video below for more information about Heidi Floyd.
The Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer has raised more than $12 million since its inception in 1998. Home Reflections supports their efforts through sales of special breast cancer awareness patterns and their in-store “Ribbons for Life” events held every October.
Tickets for the event cost $40 at the door, or $30 in advance. It’s a great way to fund breast cancer research and support local families who are struggling with the disease.
