Get ready to ‘taste the town’ for a good cause!
This Sunday, December 4, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel, the AIDS Project of Centre and Clinton Counties will host their annual Taste of the Town event, featuring samples from more than 30 local restaurants, caterers, farms, bakeries, breweries, vineyards, and more, as well as jazz music and a live auction.
This event provides a major source of income for The AIDS Project, a nonprofit organization that, since its founding in 1988, has been committed to enhancing the quality of life for people infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS. It provides services to HIV-positive residents of Centre and Clinton counties and their families, educates the community to increase understanding and prevent the transmission of HIV, and advocates on behalf of client needs.
Tickets to the event cost $75 per person. With so many delicacies donated by local food/beverage makers and providers, it’s sure to be a good time, made even better by the knowledge that you’re helping members of our community deal with a devastating illness. Register now! Happy eating on Sunday!
