Marathoners for Medicine team dedicates campaign to Paterno

The Paterno family have been supporters of Centre Volunteers in Medicine's Marathoners for Medicine since the initiative's inception.

Every year, Centre Volunteers in Medicine’s Marathoners for Medicine team raises thousands of dollars to support uninsured locals who need access to medical/dental care.

The team members run in a variety of races, including the Boston Marathon in April. This year, they are hoping to raise $50,000 – $8,000 more than last year – in honor of a man who had been the team’s honorary head coach for the last 9 years – Joe Paterno.
