Daffodil Days campaign funds cancer research

Spring has sprung, and that means warm weather, rain, and flowers popping up everywhere.

But for the American Cancer Society, flowers aren’t just a pretty sign of spring, they’re a way to fund life-saving cancer research.

Since the 1970s, the Daffodil Days campaign has enabled people to bring home a nice surprise to their loved ones. But it’s about more than just giving flowers. It is everyone’s opportunity to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.

And it’s a powerful opportunity, at that. The American Cancer Society has raised more than $240 million from the Daffodil Days campaign in the last 14 years!

Centre County residents can take part in the fundraiser all this week by purchasing flowers at the American Cancer Society Centre Unit office at 123 S. Sparks St. in State College or by calling 234-1023.
