PAWS’ Precious finds forever home with CCCF Deputy Director

When Precious arrived at Centre County PAWS, she wasn’t in great condition.

An untreated case of Diabetes had left her underweight and with skin problems. But that didn’t stop CCCF Deputy Director Molly Kunkel from falling in love with the sweet dog, a 6-year-old Lab/Shar-Pei (and possibly some kind of Pointer) mix who had been at PAWS for 55 days.

“I thought that she was adorable and would be a good match for us,” Molly said.

So Molly adopted her in early March, and she is already seeing health improvements in Precious (now named Martha).

“Her skin is completely better and she’s just about at full weight,” Molly said. “And she’s actually more energetic than I expected her to be…but I think that’s a good thing.”
