This time tomorrow the Centre Gives leaderboard will be live and updating as donations come in! And many organizations, in order to encourage and help people donate, and to reward them for doing so, are holding events or offering other incentives for their donors. See the examples below, and let us know if there are any other organization with events or incentives that we missed!
- Art Alliance of Central PA is promising their Centre Gives donors a free cup of coffee from Cafe Lemont!
- The Centre County Historical Society will hold an open house tomorrow, Wednesday, June 27, at the Centre Furnace Mansion (1001 E. College Ave. in State College) from 1 to 6 p.m. Attendees can take a tour of the mansion and donate to the Historical Society through CentreGives.org while there if they wish!
- The State Theatre is holding its 2012-2013 Season Announcement tomorrow, Wednesday June 27, at 7 p.m. at the theatre (130 W. College Ave. in State College). Tickets are free but it is recommended that you reserve them online beforehand. The announcement will be a 90-minute show that will unveil the theatre’s upcoming schedule, and will include performances and video presentations. Computers will be on hand for attendees to donate through CentreGives.org if they wish.
- ClearWater Conservancy of Central Pennsylvania will be holding an event as well as giving out prizes to some of their donors. At 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, supporters are encouraged to go to the Centre County Visitors Bureau, 800 E. Park Avenue, State College, to see the unveiling of the new Scotia Map, and be present for a prize drawing. The prizes and eligibility for each are as follows:
Grand Prize: Guided Scotia Barrens Vernal Pool Tour for up to 10 people with Penn State Biologist Jim Julian and ClearWater Biologist Katie Ombalski and a new Scotia Trail map. Tour to be held in early spring 2013.
Donation Level: $1,000 and up.
First Prize: Guided Hike for four of the Galbraith Gap property recently conserved by ClearWater Conservancy with ClearWater Biologist Katie Ombalski followed by lunch at a local restaurant and a new Scotia Trail map.
Donation level: $500 to $999.
Second Prize: Guided tour for four of one of the many properties conserved by ClearWater with Conservation Easement Manager Bill Hilshey followed by a picnic lunch for four and a new Scotia Trail map.
Donation level: $250 to $499.
Third Prize: ClearWater Conservancy Baseball Hat and T-Shirt and a new Scotia Trail map.
Donation level: $100 to $249.
